It is our distinct pleasure to present to the public the man we consider to be “The Closer.” We are anticipating a wonderful evening complete with contemporary art, libations and community topped with a vibrant and contagious dancefloor. A key component to the evening will be the DJ positioned to perform last. We trust this individual to channel the evening’s energy into a grand finale that will leave the guests completely satiated. For this task, we have enlisted Kristof. One of the driving forces and resident DJs behind the popular electronic night Green Room, Kristof moves crowds as if he were telekinetic. There exists a DJ on our lineup that many have not heard of. We are taking it back to the days when the adoring crowd trusted in the DJ. He is actually a veteran with more than a decade of commanding the 1s and 2s to do his bidding. We proudly present another artist from the stellar lineup of the Amsterdam 2.0 event, May 18th at de Brakke Grond. RaQuel van Haver is a Columbian-born, Netherlands-raised painter. RaQuel’s paintings are based within urban landscapes and highlight people that are generally not the focus of most contemporary European art. We all know the work of the DJ, but rarely do we get to delve into their ethos and inspiration for doing what they do. Just as we are creating video portraits for the artists, so shall we provide video portraits of the DJs involved with Amsterdam 2.0.
